Fun but lagging
I saw Blue Man Group in NYC 5-10 years ago and remember it being nothing but fun from beginning to end and fast paced. Last week in Boston the show was fun again but there were too many periods of time where nothing was happening. The Blue Men for example would come out into the audience to search for people to bring on stage for a "bit." Their blank expressions were funny for a few secs but after a few mins of them just stalking around it became tedious. Same with moments on stage when they would just stand there and look at each other for long periods of time.
We enjoyed the show overall with some really hilarious moments, and great music; the timing just needs to be tightened up. It felt like there should have been more "bits" in the show but they couldn't do them for some reason (Covid?) so they ate up time to make up for it.
